Volunteer Tutor of the Year

Brightlane Learning celebrated Gretchen Sides during a recent Pacers game.

Gretchen has been a volunteer tutor for the past 12 years. Brightlane shares she has been a dependable and versatile tutor. She currently spends each Tuesday night tutoring students at Wheeler Mission Center for Women' and Children in Indianapolis.

Brightlane shares that Gretchen is known for her effortless ability to motivate and uplift the students she works alongside, which helps build stronger relationships in the Wheeler classroom. Brightlane further notes that Gretchen’s adaptability and deep committment to student success consistently brings energy, empathy and a student-first mindset to every session.
