Frequently Asked Questions

Grants, Donations & Partnerships

  • Potential grantees are asked to submit a letter of inquiry that explains needs and financial information. If the request aligns with our priorities, you’ll be invited to submit a formal application for review by the Board of Directors.

  • RJS is always open to hear and learn about other organizations. Before we take on a new partner, we ensure their mission fits within the mission of RJS.

  • RJS is a privately funded 501c3, so we do not take financial donations. However, we would love for support to be given to our partners either financially or with your time. Most of our partners do have links in which donations can be made.

The Butterfly House

  • To be considered to live in our Butterfly House, you should explore the resident requirements that we have in place to see if you’re a good fit for the program.

We ask that you have a referral from one of our partners or a local organization, fill out an application and sit through an interview process where we determine your eligibility and answer any questions you may have.

  • There is no specific limit for time that residents can stay at the Butterfly House. Leases are signed for a period of one year, but may be extended if circumstances warrant with a yearly rent increase.

  • As part of our supportive living program, residents will participate in weekly calls and monthly house visits. Residents will be working to achieve their goals and meeting the program requirements. RJS staff will also work with residents to connect them to resources that may benefit them.

Other Questions

  • We would love to have volunteers serving with RJS and our partners. We would ask that you reach out to our program manager or program assistant so connections can be made for serving directly with RJS or with a partner.
