The Butterfly Houses

The RJS Foundation is proud to support two Butterfly Houses - Westfield and Plainfield - that serve as supportive living for single mothers and their children. Women entering the Butterfly Houses are paired with a mentor and provided with a structured program and support system. In addition, mothers are given resources to aid in transition to independent living.

The Butterfly Houses are more than just temporary solutions. They’re places where families can breathe, regroup and prepare for the next chapter in their lives - their own home!

The Westfield Butterfly House, located in Westfield, Indiana, is a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home designed for short-term living of up to one year, and provides structured resources and support through the RJS Foundation.

The Hendricks Butterfly House, located in Plainfield, Indiana, is made up of two duplexes and can house up to six families - mothers and their children - who are transitioning out of housing instability and can receive resources and support through Family Promise of Hendricks County.
